US' Fox News features mysterious 'security advisor' from Sweden

Swedish publication Dagens Nyheter said Bildt was in fact a company owner in the USA who emigrated from Sweden in 1994.

One of the guests, Nils Bildt, was described - both verbally by Bill O'Reilly and in text on the screen - as a "Swedish defense and national security advisor".

Sweden's Defense Ministry and its Foreign Office told the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter that they didn't know who Bildt was.

So who is Nils Bildt? Bildt is also known as Nils Tolling, according to the AP. He is a founding partner in an worldwide consulting company, Dagens Nyheter reported.

Funeral in the Bronx for tenant allegedly killed by landlord
Cops found Zakir Khan with multiple stab wounds to the torso at 1001 Logan Throgs Neck at about 6:30 p.m. Family friends say the tenant was killed in front of his 12-year-old son in the Bronx Wednesday night.

"Had I spent a year in prison, I would think I would remember it", he said.

It all began with a weekend "campaign" rally mere weeks after inauguration, where Donald Trump decried "what's happening last night in Sweden", referring to a debunked Fox News report that claimed crime in Sweden was rising and could be directly attributed to immigrants. "The issue is Swedish refusal to discuss their social problems and issues", he added in a statement to the news website Mediaite, explaining his profession as being an independent political adviser.

Bill O'Reilly and Fox News have been lambasted for providing fake news after interviewing a "Swedish Defense and National Security advisor", in relation to Trump's #LastNightInSweden gaffe, who no one had ever heard of.

"Our booker made numerous inquiries and spoke to people who recommended Nils Bildt and after pre-interviewing him and reviewing his bio, we agreed that he would make a good guest for the topic that evening", David Tabacoff, The O'Reilly Factor's executive producer, told the Washington Post.

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven scolded Trump, saying leaders should "take responsibility for verifying any information that we spread".

Bildt previously claimed that it was Fox News, and not himself, which chose the official-sounding job description.

Trump then attacked the "fake news" media for covering up problems with immigrants in Sweden. Johansson said that Sweden has "very, very few cases" of asylum seekers committing crimes.
