Two 97-year-old twins have died in freezing temperatures after falling over outside one of their homes in the USA state of Rhode Island.
On Saturday morning, the Barrington authorities retrieved the bodies of Jean Haley and Marth Williams, two nonagenarian sisters living in a house near Rhode Island.

Nothing was stolen from the women's purses, which aided investigators to believe foul play wasn't involved in their deaths. However, due to the fact that they've spent the whole night in the cold, the doctors were unable to resuscitate them. Ms. Haley may have tripped on a rug on the floor of the garage as she attempted to enter her house to call for assistance, " LaCross said in a statement.
Later that night, the younger sister left, and authorities believe Williams may have tripped and fallen in the driveway as she walked out to her auto. The Providence Journal reported that Haley lived at 21 Opechee Drive, Barrington, and Williams lived in East Providence. She later returned to her own home, according to NBC 10.

"They came into life together and they died together", John Haley, one of Jean Haley's sons, told TIME on Monday. Her twin sister, Jean Haley, was discovered in the garage of her waterside Rhode Island home.
