Woman escapes kidnapper by jumping out of trunk

Dramatic surveillance video shows the moment a kidnapping victim hopped out of the trunk of a moving vehicle in Alabama and dashed to her freedom.

The woman was reportedly kidnapped near Birmingham. The station owner says they tried to use the woman's credit card to withdraw money at an ATM, but couldn't get any money.

The suspect threatened her with his gun and demanded money.

When the suspect left and started to drive off, Alsabah watched him through the window of the store.

The victim used Alsabah's phone to call her family, and police arrived shortly after. Then, he saw the woman hurl herself from the trunk.

He let the woman inside the store and hid her in a back closet with his shotgun. She was taken to the hospital with a few cuts and bruises.
